Exhausted with the 7 day worship cycle?

TiredChristmas or Easter might just be right around the corner. The busyness of this cycle, preparing music, creating a worship environment, and everything that goes into a weekend…it can be downright distracting. It’s not only distracting for worship leaders like us, it’s also distracting and exhausting for the teams we lead too.

So don’t miss this fact — the worship team you lead are hungry for a next step. They crave something beyond the music. For some, it’s a spiritual next step. Others it’s a practical next step. Or maybe it’s a creative next step. They truly want to go deeper. The only thing holding us back sometimes is the 7 day distracting grind. We’ve all been there.

So here’s something you can do right now…

Offer a “next step” for your worship team.  Maybe it’s helping your team discover their collective strengths with Strengths Finder 2.0 book as a team, maybe it’s reviewing the timeless Heart of the Artist book again (or for the first time), or generate some quick new creative Christmas ideas as a team with the book An Hour on Sunday: Creating Moments of Transformation and Wonder.

Don’t settle for being distracted with the 7 day cycle.   Say “no” to the good stuff, so we can say “yes” to the best things God wants for our teams.  Our worship teammates are looking to us to help take them there.  We can help them.  It starts with us.
